Fresh, like really… Try not to wince when you see what I’ve done to my white AirMax 95’s (don’t worry they were already filthy).

Recently, I have been embellishing my shoes using flowers, seed heads, grasses and foliage from the land around my home. This process has been time intensive: I must allow time for the plants to grow, to forage the hedgerows, to allocate the best shapes, to sculpt from these sections, to photograph the shoes and edit them in photoshop.

This process has been routed in physical or hand crafted, work. This has created greater space for reflection and contemplation when compared to my more usual practice, which often involves a lot more computer work.

This project is an exploration of fashion, time and identity within the context of our natural environment.
