DAI LUK

.

For me a threshold in a delimited shape which surrounds an empty space. This element is recurrent in my work because it gives me access to infinite possibilities. This kind of aperture interests me when it comes to making images and objects because it can embody in the static not only space but also time.

ABOUT ME

My work is a constant exploration of aesthetic possibilities in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. I value craft and sustainability, as well as reusing found and recycled materials in an aesthetically meaningful way.
Art practice allows me to reflect and make sense of my experiences and my relation to Nature. I root my work to the places where I have lived (such as Romania, Barcelona, Tasmania and currently Bristol).

A part from my artistic practice I am a professional tattooist at Apache Tattoo Studio (Bristol).
